Dotcom Media Sales Replaces Ad Server Technology for ADTECH

London, UK – 8th February 2010 – ADTECH, a leading provider of ad serving technology and part of AOL Advertising, has today announced another client win – one of the UK’s fastest growing online advertising networks - Dotcom Media Sales.  Dotcom Media Sales will replace its incumbent technology with ADTECH’s digital ad server solution.

Dotcom works with many of the largest online advertisers and publishers and delivers nearly half a billion impressions a month across the UK and Europe.  The business is built on the simple philosophy that a combination of good quality inventory, service and targeting/optimisation technology provides online advertisers with results. Dotcom supplies inventory for CPM and CPC campaigns and offers Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) as well.

“We place over 250 million ad impressions every month for clients across our network of premium branded and niche publishers,” said Tim Cross, Operations Director at Dotcom Media Sales.  “Delivering the ads is critical as is being able to report on the results.  We were initially using an open source solution to serve online ads, but as our business grew it quickly became apparent that it wasn’t up to the task and wouldn’t serve us well in the long term.  It was falling over on a regular basis and we experienced long delays in getting issues resolved from the support centre.  Stability and backup support are invaluable to our business, so we took the decision to change providers.”

He continued: “I’d been working in advertising operations for around five years and had used most of the ad server technologies on the market.  Based on that experience I recommended that we migrate to ADTECH - the best solution I’d used and a great fit for our business with its flexibility and features set.  It also helps to build a network from an advertiser and publisher point of view which is extremely rare and very important to us.

The migration to ADTECH took just a couple of days and we were quickly able to use the reports to demonstrate the value we provide to clients.  The ADTECH solution is well known in the market and clients respect and trust the report’s findings which in turn help us too.”

“Part of the appeal for Dotcom Media Sales was that the ADTECH solution can deliver online ads across display and video platforms which mean that it attracts additional business for them. It has literally expanded their offering for them and given wider appeal,” said Ken Parnham, UK & Ireland Country Manager ADTECH.  “The technology is solid and will stand the test of time and market developments.  We’re delighted to be working with them!”
